This is my FAVORITE of the short stories that go with the JB trilogy. It 's an extremely hot tale of Aer & Fyre. Vexx & Fyre visit a BDSM club!! It's a must read!!

Wow wow and more wow!!!! So very intense, I loved this entire book. It breaks my heart that they physically can't be together but dang it made for an amazing story!!!!
You can't help but love the cocky, arrogant hotness of Byrn. I don't know what it is about Vexx. She has this vulnerability mixed with great strength.
I enjoyed this both more and less than Stifle. The primary books in the Just Breathe series are erotica, but with no fetishes, which is how I prefer my erotica. Letting Go, the first Ephemera book, I read last year, and was about Zoe and Gavin as children, so needless to say, it was not erotica. The remaining three I just finished reading back-to-back.
Stifle, was the shortest of the extras and I read it in a matter of minutes. But it was just one menage scene between Sinnder, Gavin, and Zoe, which only happened in Sinnder's imagination. I would not have read it if it wasnt part of a series I loved, and because it was so short I just soldiered through it to get it out of the way in case there was anything related to the primary books that I would want to be privy to. But it was emotionless and hollow. Sinnder had no feelings for Zoe or Gavin and was just thinking about them because he wanted their Fire, and probably because he was a little jealous.
Dirty was about how Jet became an Elemental and was more relavent to the primary books. The story was unconnected but it gave backstory to her character and explained why she was the way she was and I enjoyed it. There was no erotic content in this one.
Now, Vexxed on the other hand, made me seriously uncomfortable. Like with Stifle, I only read it because it was short and a part of a series I loved, and I wanted to make sure there was nothing important that I was missing. It was the longest of the Ephemera books and was a little harder to get through. It is another erotica, and BDSM at that. I have never read anything BDSM before, and I certainly never will again. I didnt really know what it was like before. I had no idea it could be like that. I am sort of disgusted and my favourite part is actually when they hugged afterwards. But unlike Stifle, there was actually an emotional connection in this. I dont know if Byrn had any real feelings for Vexx besides the feelings he has for anything on two legs, but it seemed like he did. There were moments when he seemed to actually appreciate the brief time they were allowed to be together, even under guise. But Vexx is the one my heart really went out to. She loves him like whoa (her words P). And it makes it even more sad knowing what happens in Just Breathe. The story in this one was completely unrelated to the primary books, and only gave as a glimpse of Vexx and Byrn together for our enjoyment, or for the enjoyment of ppl who are into this sort of thing. It didnt tell us anything we didnt know from Just Breathe.
So, if you want to stick the the relevant books in the Ephemera series, just read books 1 and 3. If you are looking for erotica fetishes, read books 2 and 4. Or be like me and read them all. P
This short story takes place before the series. It was nice to see some of the interaction between Vexx and Byrn. After finishing Just Breathe I knew there was something between them, but had no idea what their history was. Although this basically is just one night, it shed some light on their relationship, or lack there of...
Visualizing Vexx and Byrn in the BDSM club together - so hot and erotic!
Vexxed is the latest installment in the Just Breathe Ephemera. The Ephemera serve as small spaces in time for the characters of the series. The story features two characters that will be in Just Breathe, Byrn and Vexx. Byrne is, you guessed it, a Fyre Elemental. Vexx is an Aer Elemental who is assigned to stake out a BDSM club with Vexx acting as her submissive. But in the Elemental game of Paper-Rock-Scissors, Fyre trumps Aer which means one slip-up will be the end of Vexx.
Riddle me this, boys and girls How do you write a sexy story in which the two main characters can't touch without one of them being destroyed? I personally wasn't sure it could be done, or at least done well. Seriously, isn't the smexy all about being able to grope, fondle, caress, etc? In Vexxed, author Kendall Grey shows that sometimes, the tease, the tension built up by want and need, can almost be as sexual as the main event. And if that isn't enough to satisfy, a good rubber catsuit and a little self-manipulation just might do the trick.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Grey has a talent for erotica. She delivered one helluva story with Stifle, affectionately referred to a "Sinnder-Smut". And while Vexxed wasn't as hardcore as Stifle, it was sexy in it's own way. It also made me laugh, feel wistful, and want to know Vexx and Byre even more.
